I started programming in 2016 and haven't really stopped. At work I'm mostly in TypeScript and Java. A lot of my side projects end up in Rust, because I like knowing exactly what a program is doing.
I work across the whole stack. Frontend, backend, the database, and the part where it actually has to run somewhere. I look after my own Linux servers, so I deploy what I write and I'm the one who gets paged when it falls over.
The work I enjoy most is automation and developer tools, the kind of thing that makes a chore go away for good. Most of the projects page started as one of those.
